Kinds of questions utilized during interview for gathering information. Part 2

When you look at the past article, we now have already talked in regards to the purpose and kinds of topic and management questions. Now, let’s check out the others of questions category.

Intent behind behavioral forms of questions

Behavioral concerns in turn serve to manipulate the interlocutor, provoking particular actions on his part. Such concerns are employed in interview-confrontation. The journalist’s objective in this case is certainly not getting the information, but to use the interviewee away from himself, in order to provide it into the visitors as unbalanced, dishonest and stupid. It must be borne in your mind that after using such questions a journalist can not only spoil relations with the character of this meeting, yet not the easiest way to look within the eyes of visitors if they discover the journalist’s tricks dishonest. Behavioral questions are divided in to:

  • suggestive,
  • questions-traps,
  • hinting,
  • amplifying,
  • provoking.

The suggestive question poses one answer better than the others, for instance: “All honest individuals repeat this. And do you mypaperwriter.com reviews realy? “Or:” usually do not you believe that anybody who votes against our candidate will not require a stable growth of the nation?” The interlocutor is offered either to agree with a few declaration himself dishonest or not like all other people that he does not think is right, or to declare.

The trap real concern is a concern through the category: ” already have you stopped drinking?” – any response to that may never be in favor of the interlocutor, that he is either drinking now or was drinking earlier since he must admit. Regardless of the knowledge that is common of trick, journalists continue to earnestly make use of it.

Hinting, amplifying and questions that are provoking

By having a hinting question, the real reason for the real question is initially hidden. The interlocutor is asked about a specific well-known reality, after which, starting from this particular fact, they ask a concern that places the interlocutor in an light that is unfavorable. Let me reveal a fragment for the discussion: “Have you learned about the greenhouse impact?” – “Yes.” – “Do you realize its main reason?” – “Yes, the exhaust gases of automobiles.” – ” And how would you then conscience lets you drive a car or truck?”

The reinforcement question repeats the interlocutor’s statements in a far more rigid, categorical type. The objective of such a question is always to force the interlocutor to refute the aforesaid and thus present him as an individual who doesn’t have a firm opinion. If the interlocutor states which he failed to say anything, the journalist can provide another, already correct estimate because of the terms: “and you also would not state that either?”

However the strongest method to obtain the interlocutor out of himself would be to provoke a concern in regards to the good reasons for the interlocutor’s psychological state, as an example: “What makes you therefore nervous?”; “What makes you therefore crazy?” After such a concern, an explosion of feeling may follow. It’s possible that the interview will end here and also the journalist would be thrown out of the door. Nevertheless the journalist will achieve their goal – to provoke a scandal.
